Design/Build allows you to create a space that fits your style and budget.
Design/Build is a time-honored approach where a single source has accountability for both design and construction.
In a traditional approach, you have plans drawn, get bids from builders, go into sticker shock, go back to the drawing board for revisions and then re-pricing until you cut the project down to where you can afford it wasting tons of time for all involved.
In design/build you first develop a budget and then plan the project around that budget eliminating the competitive bid process which is rarely equal in content (apples to apples). Then you are ready to build your dream project with no disappointments.
Instead of getting bids from multiple builders, we recommend you interview a few and then pick one that you think you will have a good relationship with and let that builder price the project. Remember that you will be interacting with your builder a lot on some projects and emotions will vary along the way. Selecting a builder that can guide you from your vision of the project through job completion is very important.
"Our family spent a significant amount of time planning an extensive home renovation which required a contractor with the knowledge and technical expertise to make it work. We found that person in Zack Rothrock. Zack’s reputation held true throughout the process; he was dependable, responsible and ensured that things were taken care of and performed the right way. When any new question or issue arose Zack saw to it that we were treated fairly and that any problems were handled with as little inconvenience and difficulty as possible. It was also very reassuring to find that every employee and subcontractor Zack used had been working with him for years and had nothing but great things to say regarding their relationship with Rothrock Builders. I found that Zack has built a stellar reputation in the industry. We are very pleased with the work that was done and recommend Zack Rothrock Builders for your new home or remodel."
